In this day and age, building a house means having the best construction materials available. But there are some people who want to have a house that is completely carpenter built. You see, I was born in the age of concrete houses. My grandparents’ wooden houses seemed like relics to me, and never did it occur to me that these companies offer more than your run of the mill wood works.
Companies offer services that range from fixing the hole in your wooden ceiling, building new doors, creating cornices and small fixins for the house. But aside from these relatively small projects, I was surprised to learn that they can also build you grand pergolas, and even wooden outhouses if you are feeling rustic. And with these range of skills available, from the small to the large, it is no wonder then that they can also build you a house or even a building from scratch. You’ve seen movies of carpenters building skeletons of houses, well, they still exist and if you choose, you can have your own completely wooden home done by skilled carpenters.
This knowledge has given me a new perspective on carpenters. Too long have I seen them as regular handymen. Never did I imagine that they are capable of huge projects. I now have a new found respect for the carpenter. One that has given rise to my own interests in carpentry.
